BEYOND SCHOOL WALLS MIDDLE SCHOOL MENTORING
Beyond School Walls is a unique one-to-one youth mentoring program for middle school students where local companies give back to the community by hosting children from a nearby school at their corporate office. Children are exposed to their career potential first-hand, by developing meaningful relationships with mentors in their place of work. In addition to social engagement, students are presented with a workforce readiness curriculum, designed to facilitate practical skills like public speaking, financial management, and workplace etiquette.
Big Brothers Big Sisters works with companies and local middle schools to identify matches. A program coordinator is chosen to manage the program and structure all Big/Little meetings. Match support specialists provide ongoing professional support to Bigs, Littles, staff, and parents. Each company hosts bi-monthly lunches for the children and mentors.

2023-2024 CORPORATE PARTners
Corporate partners are paired with a local middle school. Matches engage in dynamically designed curricula focused on career and college readiness, along with relational skill development. Students are mentored in the workplace to gain valuable skills and exposure to career opportunities, while employees have the opportunity to engage in a one-to-one mentoring relationship with a local student right from work, boosting morale and sense of purpose.
