Be a Big
Deciding to become a mentor (Big) is one of the most rewarding things you may ever do. Spending a few hours each month with a child, doing things you already enjoy, can make a significant difference in his or her life. Play sports together. Go on a hike. Read books. Eat a pizza with extra anchovies. Most importantly, listen. For a few hours each week, you can give a child the priceless gift of friendship. By simply changing a child’s perspective on what the world can offer, you can literally change a life.
We’re always looking for people eager to positively impact a child and improve their community at the same time. Big Brothers are in especially high demand, particularly African-American men. We have children waiting for the opportunity to meet someone like you. If you have been thinking about getting involved, now is the time to find out more.
